Clark Maples Realty & Auction Co. held its yearly kickoff meeting at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
Kelli Beam, Director of Membership, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the exciting growth going on in Rutherford County. Some of the statistics she shared were:
* Rutherford County received $292 million in tourism dollars for 2013
* There are 292,000 people living in Rutherford County projected to double by 2030
* Retail sales in Rutherford County totaled over $6 billion in 2013
Betsy Maples Taylor, owner and broker of Clark Maples Realty Co., handed out sales awards for 2014 top agents, which included: Realtor of the Year: The Parsley Team, followed by Brad Muse, Newton Parks, Connie Hill, Jennifer Young, and auctioneer of the year was awarded to Brad Muse.
“We’re excited about the new year and looking forward to opening the first section of our new real estate development, The Maples,” Taylor said.
She shared some real estate statistics for Rutherford County from 2014 which include: The median sale price was $170,000, which is close to the national median sales price of $169,000. Average days on the market was 54 days. Nationally, 33 percent of homebuyers were first time homebuyers.
